General the Lord Guthrie
of Craigiebank, Director
Lord Guthrie is currently Colonel of The Life Guards, Gold Stick
to The Queen and Colonel Commandant of the SAS. He served the Welsh
Guard and the SAS throughout Europe, Malaysia and East Africa for
over 40 years. Apart from holding several senior staff appointments
and commanderships, he was Chief of the Defence Staff and the Principal
Military Advisor to two prime ministers and three Secretaries of
State for Defence. He retired from the Army in 2001.
William M. Keys, Director
Lt. General Keys, USMC (Ret.) has been a Director of AIS since 1997. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer and President of New Colt Holding Corporation. Lt. Gen. Keys formerly served as the Commander of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Atlantic.
David McGrane, Director
David has over 30 years of domestic and international executive leadership experience with companies such as Westinghouse Electric Corp. and the European firm, ABB Inc. In addition, David served as Chief Operating Officer of Firearms Training Systems (FATS)/ Meggitt Defense. David is currently actively involved as a board member of, Coyne Textile Services and Southern Weaving. David has key relationships within the financial community including Blackstone/GSO Capital, Centre Partners, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Orix Finance and KAMP.
John Rigas, Director
Mr. Rigas is a founding partner of Sciens Venture Partners. Mr. Rigas and Mr. Zilkha have been business partners since 1988. Mr. Rigas has completed in excess of 50 private equity investments on behalf of affiliates of the fund and serves on the board of several portfolio companies.
James A. Schubauer II, Director
Mr. Schubauer is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Westbury
Equity Partners. Mr. Schubauer has over 15 years of experience in
private equity investing and investment banking. Prior to joining
Westbury, Mr. Schubauer was a partner of First Atlantic Capital,
a private equity fund dedicated to growth capital investments and
leveraged buyouts.
Dan Standen, Director
Mr. Standen joined Sciens in 1999 and is involved in all facets of the group's private equity investments, including investment identification and execution and portfolio management, and serves on the Boards of a number of portfolio companies. Prior to joining Sciens, Mr. Standen was a senior member of the Mergers & Acquisitions/Capital Markets group of Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells, LLP where he represented Sciens on a number of private equity transactions and through that association became an integral part of Sciens' investment team. Mr. Standen received a joint J.D./L.L.M. degree from the Duke University School of Law and a B.A. from New York University.
